“It’s a mix. That’s sort of the whole point,” YouTube host Susan Yara says of Mixed Makeup, her six-month-old lifestyle YouTube channel. “We cover beauty, but there’s fashion, home décor, D.I.Y,” she explains. Beauty, however, is kind of her thing. A former beauty reporter and video producer for popular publications like People magazine, New Beauty, TotalBeauty.com and PopSugarTV, Yara also competed in the Miss America pageant in 2004, representing New Mexico.
